Plaex produces nearly indestructible plastic bricks using 90% plastic waste. These bricks can even withstand the force of a bulldozer. In a video shared by Instagram user Eagle Eye, the process of making these bricks and why they are so durable is explained.
According to the information provided in the video, the simple design of these plastic bricks used in the construction industry means that no tools are needed during assembly. Each plastic brick used in construction weighs approximately 2.3 kg and is three times stronger than standard bricks.
Plastic pollution has become a significant problem in our daily lives with the increase in production. About 79% of produced plastic is dumped in landfills or oceans, and less than 10% is recycled. Plastic waste causes the release of planet-warming gases like methane, which warms the Earth 80 times more strongly than carbon dioxide.
Moreover, microplastics can enter our food chain, leading to health problems. They contaminate the food we eat. According to Plaex, these plastic bricks used in the construction industry provide both building materials and environmental solutions. These bricks help build affordable housing for a growing population while reducing the amount of waste. Additionally, other companies and brands are moving towards environmentally friendly alternatives by abandoning plastic packaging.
